A
Bright New World
We feel so sad when those we love are touched by death's dark hand,
but it would ease our sorrow if we could but understand that death
is just a gateway that all men must pass through and on the other
side of death, in a world that's bright and new, our loved ones wait
to welcome us to that land free from all tears where joy becomes eternal
and time is not counted by years.
Helen Steiner Rice
A Fire Fighter's Prayer
When I am called to duty, God, whenever flames may rage; give me
strength to save some life, whatever be its age.
Help me embrace a little child before it is too late; or save an
older person from the horror of that fate.
I want to fill my calling and to give the best in me; to guard my
every neighbor and protect his property.
And if, according to my fate, I am to lose my life; please bless
with your protecting hand my children and my wife.
A Little Step Away
To close the eye, to fall asleep, to draw a labored breath, to find
release from daily cares in what we know as death . . .
Is this the crowning of life, the aim or end thereof? The totaled
sum of consciousness, the ripened fruit of love?
It cannot be, for works of God are wrought for nobler ends, and
those away continue on in the hearts of kin and friends.
It cannot be, for they live on a little step away, the soul, the
everlasting life, has found a better day . . .
O.J. Hanson
A Place Where Children Are
What kind of place would heaven be with all its streets of gold,
if all the souls, that dwell up there like yours and mine, were
old? How strange would heaven's music sound when harps begin to
ring, if children were not gathered 'round to help the angels sing.
The children that God sends to us are only just a loan, He knows
we need their sunshine to make the house a home. We need the inspiration
of a baby's blessed smile. He doesn't say they've come to stay,
just lends them for a while. Sometimes it takes them years to do
the work for which they come. Sometimes in just a month or two our
Father calls them home. I like to think some souls up there bear
not one sinful scar. I love to think of heaven as a place where
children are.
A Policeman's Prayer
Lord, I ask for courage: courage to face and conquer my own fears;
courage to take me where others will not go.
I ask for strength: strength of body to protect others; strength
of spirit to lead others.
I ask for dedication: dedication to my job to do it well; dedication
to my community to keep it safe.
Give me, Lord, concern: concern for all those who entrust me; and
compassion for those who need me; and please, Lord, through it all
be at my side.
Afterglow
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an
Afterglow of Smiles when day is done. I'd like to leave an echo...
Whispering softly down the ways of happy times and laughing times
and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve
to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave behind when
day is done.
An Irish Blessing
May the road rise with you, may the wind be always at your back,
may the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon
your fields, and until we meet again, may God keep you in the hollow
of His hand.
Autumn Rain
"Do not stand at my grave and weep: I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond's glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting
rush of softquiet birds in circled flight. I am the stars that shine
at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die."
AVE MARIA
Amen.
Child’s Verse
"Now I lay me down to sleep; I pray Thee, Lord, my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake, I pray Thee, Lord, my soul to take."
Comfort
The Power who pities man has shown a blessing for the eyes that
weep.
The light of smiles shall fill again the lids that overflow with
tears; and weary hours of woe and pain are promises of happier years.
There is a day of sunny rest for every dark and troubled night;
and grief may bide an evening guest, but joy shall come with early
light.
For God hath marked each sorrowing day, and numbered every secret
tear, and Heaven's long age of bliss shall pay for all His children
suffer here.
William Cullen Bryant
Crossing The Bar
Sunset and evening star. And one clear call for me! And may there
be no moaning of the bar when I put out to sea.
But such a tide as moving seems asleep too full for sound and foam.
When that which drew from out the boundless deep turns again home.
Twilight and evening bell, and after that the dark! And may there
be no sadness of farewell when I embark;
For though from out our borne of time and place the flood may bear
me far, I hope to see my Pilot face to face when I have crossed
the bar.
Alfred Lord Tennyson
Do You Really Know
Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night shivering from fright,
feeling empty, feeling nothing, because I think about how it would
be if you weren't here, and then I wonder if you really know how
very much you really mean to me, how incredible I think you are,
how you are a part of all my emotions, how you are the deepest meaning
in my life. Please always know that I love you more than anything
else in the world...
I love You Always
Ecclesiastes Three
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under
the heaven; a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant,
and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and
a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a
time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to
dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time
to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a
time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war,
and a time of peace.
Every Blade

Lays down its life

Father or Grandfather
God saw he was getting tired, and a cure was not to be; so he put
His arms around him, and whispered, "Come with me." With tearful
eyes we watched him suffer, and saw him fade away;
Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden
heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest; God broke our
hearts to prove to us, He only takes the Best!
Feelings
We feel sad, for what we have lost. We feel poor, for the empty
spaces. We feel rich, for we have each other. We will cry, for what
we can't have. We will laugh, for our memories abound. We will hurt,
for the love we can't give. We will rejoice, for the love we have
received. We will be restless, for our lives are not whole. We will
be peaceful, for we know it is not forever.

Footprints
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the
beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one
belonging to him, and the other to the Lord. When the last scene
of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints
in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life
there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened
at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered
him and he questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, you said that once
I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have
noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there
is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed
you most you would leave me." The Lord replied, "My son, My precious
child, I love you, and I would never leave you. During your times
of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

God Saw You
God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So He put His
arms around you and whispered "Come to ME". With tearful eyes we
watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we love you dearly,
we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard
working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only
takes the best.
God's Garden Must Be Beautiful
God looked around the garden, and found an empty space. He looked
down upon the earth, and saw your tired face. He put his arms around
you, and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful for
he only takes the best. He knew that you were weary, and he knew
you were in pain. He knew that you would never be well on earth
again. He saw the roads were getting rough, and the hills were hard
to climb. So he closed your weary eyelids, and whispered peace be
thine.
Gospel of John
Let not your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in
me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I
would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go
and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you
unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
Guidepaths To Peace
Be glad of life because it gives you the chance to love and to work
and to play and to look up at the stars; to be satisfied with your
possessions but not content with yourself until you have made the
best of them; to despise nothing in the world except falsehood and
meanness, and to fear nothing except cowardice; to be governed by
your admirations rather than by your disgusts; to covet nothing
that is your neighbor's except his kindness of heart and gentleness
of manners; to think seldom of your enemies, often of your friends,
and every day of Christ; and to spend as much time as you can with
body and spirit in God's out of doors -- these are little guidepaths
to peace.
Henry van Dyke
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou
among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary,
Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
He Only Takes The Best
God saw you getting tired,
And a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you,
And whispered, “Come to Me.”
With tearful eyes we watched you,
And saw you pass away.
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands put to rest.
God broke our hearts
To prove to us,
He only takes the best.
His Precious Gift
One gift, above all others God gives to us to treasure one that
knows no time, no place and one gold cannot measure.
The precious, poignant, tender gift of memory that will keep our
dear ones ever in our hearts although God gives them sleep.
It brings back long-remembered things a song, a word, a smile and
our world's a better place because we had them for awhile!
Jessie Home Fairweather
I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free; I'm following the path God
laid for me. I took His hand when I heard him call; I turned my
back and left it all.
I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way; I found that place at the
close of day.
If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss; Ah yes, these things, I too,
will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow; I wish you the sunshine of
tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much; good friends, good
times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief; don't lengthen it now with
undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me; God wanted me
now, He set me free.
I'm Not Here
Do not stand at my grave and weep for I am not there, I do not sleep,
I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamonds glint on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circle flight. I am the soft stars that shine
at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did
not die.
Indian Prayer
Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in morning hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of
quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there. I did not die.

John 8:12
Jesus said: "I am the light of the world. He that follows me shall
not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."
Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in
me. In my father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, would
I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And when I
go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take
you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
(JN. 14:1-3)

Magnified and sanctified be His great name in the world which He
hath created according to his will. May He establish His Kingdom
during your life and during your days and during the life of all
the House of Israel, even speedily and at a near time, and say ye,
Amen.
Let His great name be blessed for ever and to all eternity. Blessed,
praised and glorified, exalted, extolled and honored, magnified
and lauded be the name of the Holy One. Blessed be He though He
be high above all the blessing and hymns, praises and consolations,
which are uttered in the world, and say ye, Amen.
May there be abundant peace from heaven, and life for us and for
all Israel, and say ye Amen. He who maketh peace in His high places
may He make peace for us and for all Israel, and say ye, Amen.

Let Us Pray
Almighty and most merciful God who, when little children born again
of water depart this mortal life, dost forthwith, without any desert
of other, bestow upon them life everlasting, as we believe Thou
hast done to this little child, grant, we beseech Thee, that through
the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and of all Thy Saints,
we may serve Thee here with pure minds and be forever united to
the blessed little ones in Paradise. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Little Angels
When God calls little children to dwell with Him above, we mortals
sometime question the wisdom of His love. For no heartache compares
with the death of one small child who does so much to make our world
seem wonderful and mild. Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to
His fold, so He picks a rosebud before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them, and so He takes but few to make
the land of Heaven more beautiful to view. Believing this is difficult
still somehow we must try, the saddest word mankind knows will always
be "Goodbye". So when a little child departs, we who are left behind
must realize God loves children, angels are hard to find.
Loving Memories
Your gentle face and patient smile
With sadness we recall
You had a kindly word for each
And died beloved by all
The voice is mute and stilled the heart
That loved us well and true,
Ah, bitter was the trial to part
From one so good as you.
You are not forgotten loved one
Nor will you ever be
As long as life and memory last
We will remember thee.
We miss you now, our hearts are sore,
As time goes by we miss you more,
Your loving smile, your gentle face,
No one can fill your vacant place.
Matthew 11:28
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give
you rest.
May I Go
May I Go Now? Don't you think the time is right? May I say good-by
to pain-filled days and endless lonely nights? I've lived my life
and done my best, an example tried to be. So can I take that step
beyond and set my spirit free? I didn't want to go at first, I fought
with all my might!
But something seems to draw me now to a warm and loving light. I
want to go! I really do! It's difficult to stay but I will try as
best I can to live just one more day --- To give you time to care
for me and share your love and fears. I know you're sad and are
afraid because I see your tears. I'll not be far, I promise that,
and hope you'll always know that my spirit will be close to you
wherever you may go. Thank you so for loving me. You know I loved
you too. That's why it's hard to say good-bye and end this life
with you. So hold me now, just one more time and let me hear you
say, because you care so much for me, you'll let me go today.
Memorare
Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that
anyone who fled to Thy protection, implored Thy help, and sought
Thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence,
I fly unto Thee, O Virgin of virgins, My Mother! to Thee I come;
before Thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. Oh Mother of the Word
incarnate! despise not my petitions, but, in Thy mercy, hear and
answer me.
Amen.
Mother Dear
Beautiful things in this life are manifold tis true, we count the
stars by thousands, the birds and flowers, too; the sunsets and
dawnings, rare beauties far and near, but all the wide world over,
there's just one
"Mother Dear."
Mother Or Grandmother
God saw she was getting tired, and a cure was not to be; so he put
His arms around her, and whispered, "Come with me." With tearful
eyes we watched her suffer, and saw her fade away;
Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A golden
heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest; God broke our
hearts to prove to us, He only takes the Best!
O Gentlest Heart of Jesus
O gentlest heart of Jesus, ever present in the Blessed Sacrament,
ever consumed with burning love for the poor captive souls, have
mercy on the soul of Thy departed servant. Be not severe in Thy
judgment but let some drops of Thy Precious Blood fall upon the
devouring flames, and do Thou O Merciful Saviour, send Thy Angels
to conduct Thy departed servant to a place of refreshment, light
and peace. Amen.
May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of
God, rest in peace. Amen.
Merciful Jesus grant eternal rest.
O Mother of Perpetual Help
O Mother of Perpetual Help, in Thy hands we place his eternal salvation,
and to Thee do we entrust his soul. Eternal Father, we offer Thee
the wounds of our Lord Jesus Christ to heal the wounds of his soul.
My Jesus pardon and mercy through the merits of Thy sacred wounds.
Sweet Heart of Mary, Be my salvation.
(300 days indulgence)
My Jesus Mercy
(100 days indulgence)
Requiescat in Peace. Amen.
O My Father
O my Father, thou that dwellest in the high and glorious place,
When shall I regain thy presence, and again behold thy face? In
thy holy habitation, did my spirit once reside? In my first primeval
childhood, was I nurtured near thy side?
For a wise and glorious purpose thou hast placed me here on earth,
And withheld the recollection of my former friends and birth, Yet
oft-times a secret something whispered, "you're a stranger here",
And I felt that I had wandered from a more exalted sphere.
I had learned to call thee Father, through thy Spirit from on high;
But until the key of knowledge was restored, I knew not why. In
the heavens are parents single? No; the thought makes reason stare!
Truth is reason, truth eternal tells me I've a mother there.
When I leave this frail existence, when I lay this mortal by, Father,
Mother, may I meet you in your royal courts on high? Then, at length,
when I've completed all you sent me forth to do, With your mutual
approbation let me come and dwell with you.
Pass Through
I shall pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that
I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being,
let me do it now. Let me not defer it or neglect it, for I shall
not pass this way again.
Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi
Lord make me an instrument of Your peace; Where there is hatred,
let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt,
faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that I may
not so much seek to be consoled as to console; To be understood
as to understand; To be loved, as to love; For it is in giving that
we receive; It is in pardoning that we are pardoned; And it is in
dying that we are born to eternal life.
Poem For Thy Living
When I am dead, cry for me a little, think of me sometimes, but
not too much. It is not good for you, or your wife, or your husband,
or your children to allow your thoughts to dwell too long on the
dead. Think of me now and again as I was in life at some moment
which it is pleasant to recall. But not too long. Leave me in peace
as I shall leave you, too, in peace. While you live, let your thoughts
be with the living.
Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi
Lord make me an instrument of Your peace; Where there is hatred,
let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt,
faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light;
Prayer
May the angels lead you into Paradise, may the Martyrs receive you
at your coming, and take you to Jerusalem, the holy city. May the
choirs of the Angels receive you, and may you with the once poor
Lazarus, have rest everlasting.
Amen.
May the Souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of
God, rest in peace.
Amen.
Psalm 55:6
Oh that I had wings like a dove! For then would I fly away and be
at rest.
Psalm 121
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will
not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is thy keeper; the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The
Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this
time forth, and even for evermore.
Psalm Twenty-Four
The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and
they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and
established it upon the floods. Who shall ascend into the hill of
the Lord? Or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean
hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity,
nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord,
and righteousness for the God of his salvation.
Safely Home
I am home in heaven, dear ones. Oh, so happy and so bright! There
is a perfect joy and beauty in the everlasting light. All the pain
and grief is over, every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace
forever, safely home in heaven at last. There is work still waiting
for you, so you must not idly stand, do it now, while life remaineth
-- You shall rest in God's own land. When that work is all completed.
He will gently call you Home; Oh, the rapture of that meeting. Oh,
the joy to see you come!
God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can, and Wisdom to know the difference.
Some Day
Some day all doubt and mystery, will be made clear; the threatened
clouds which now we see will disappear. Some day what seems a punishment,
or loss, or pain, will prove to be God's blessing sent for every
gain. Some day our weary feet will rest in sweet content, and we
will know how we were blest by what was sent. And looking back with
clearer eyes O'er Life's short span, will see with wondering, glad
surprise, God's perfect plan. And knowing that the way we went was
God's own way, will understand His wise intent, some day-some day.
Soul Takes Flight
Lord, when my soul takes flight, may it rise swiftly to live forever
in your love and care.
Taps
Day is done,
gone the sun.
From the lake,
from the hill,
from the sky.
All is well,
safely rest.
God is nigh.
Thanks and praise
for our days.
'neath the sun,
'neath the stars,
'neath the sky.
As we go,
this we know.
God is nigh.
Taps
Day is done,
gone the sun,
From the hills,
from the sky,
All is well,
safely rest
safely rest,
All is well.
Fading light
Dims the sight,
And a star
gems the sky,
Gleaming bright
From afar,
drawing nigh,
Falls the night.
Dear one, rest!
The Eternal Goodness
I know not what the future hath of marvel or surprise; assured alone
that life and death His mercy underlies.
And if my heart and flesh are weak to bear an untried pain, the
bruised reed He will not break, but strengthen and sustain.
And so, beside the silent sea, I wait the muffled oar; no harm from
Him can come to me on ocean or on shore.
I know not where His islands lift their fronded palms in air; I
only know I cannot drift beyond His love and care . . .
John Greenleaf Whittier
The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom
come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this
day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive
those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but
deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and
the glory, forever.
Amen.
The Resurrection Prayer
Most merciful Father, we commend our departed into your hands. We
are filled with the sure hope that our departed will rise again
on the Last Day with all who have died in Christ. We thank you for
all the good things you have given during our departed's earthly
life. O Father, in your great mercy, accept our prayer that the
Gates of Paradise may be opened for your servant. In our turn, may
we too be comforted by the words of faith until we greet Christ
in glory and are united with you and our departed.
Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
The Weaver
My life is but a weaving between my Lord and me. I cannot choose
the colors He worketh steadily.
Ofttimes He weaveth sorrow and I, in foolish pride, forget He sees
the upper and I, the underside.
Not 'til the loom is silent and the shuttles cease to fly, shall
God unroll the canvas and explain the reason why.
The dark threads are as needful in the Weaver's skillful hand as
the threads of gold and silver in the pattern He has planned.
He knows, He loves, He cares, nothing this truth can dim, He gives
His very best to those who leave the choice with Him.
There is a season for
everything, a time for every
occupation under heaven.
A time for giving birth,
A time for dying,
A time for planting,
A time for uprooting
what has been planted.
A time for killing,
A time for healing;
A time for knocking down,
A time for building.
A time for tears,
A time for laughter;
A time for mourning,
A time for dancing.
A time for
throwing stones away,
A time for
gathering them up;
A time for embracing,
A time to
refrain from embracing.
A time for searching,
A time for losing;
A time for keeping.
A time for throwing away.
A time for tearing,
A time for sewing;
A time for keeping silent,
A time for speaking.
A time for loving,
A time for hating;
A time for war,
A time for peace.
(Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)

El Señor es mi pastor, nada me falta, en verdes pastos él me hace
reposar y adonde brota agua fresca me conduce. Fortalece mi alma,
por el camino del bueno me dirige por amor de su nombre. Aunque
pase por quebradas muy oscuras no tengo ningún mal, porque tú estás
conmigo, tu bastón y tu vara me protegen. Me sirves a la mesa frente
a mis adversarios, con aceites tú perfumas mi cabeza y rellenas
mi copa. Me acompaña tu bondad y tu favor mientras dura mi vida,
mi mansión será la casa del Señor por largo, largo tiempo.
Twenty-Third Psalm
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down
in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth
my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's
sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff
they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence
of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth
over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of
my life: and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Walk In Sunshine
May you always walk in sunshine
And God’s Love around you flow,
For the happiness you gave us,
No one will ever know.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone,
A part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
A million times we needed you,
A million times we cried,
If love could have only saved you,
You never would have died.
"When I Must Leave You"
When I must leave you for a little while please do not grieve and
shed wild tears and hug your sorrow to you through the years, But
start out bravely with a gallant smile; And for my sake and in my
name live on and do all things the same, Feed not your loneliness
on empty days, But fill each waking hour in useful ways, Reach out
your hand in comfort and in cheer and I in turn will comfort you
and hold you near; And never, never be afraid to die, For I am waiting
for you in the sky!
When I'm Gone
When I come to the end of my journey and I travel my last weary
mile, just forget if you can, that I ever frowned and remember only
the smile. Forget unkind words I have spoken; remember some good
I have done. Forget that I ever had heartache and remember I've
had loads of fun. Forget that I've stumbled and blundered and sometimes
fell by the way. Remember I have fought some hard battles and won,
ere the close of the day. Then forget to grieve for my going, I
would not have you sad for a day, but in summer just gather some
flowers and remember the place where I lay, and come in the shade
of evening when the sun paints the sky in the west. Stand for a
few moments beside me and remember only my best.
When You're Alone
When you're alone with Jesus and He sweetly smiles on thee,
Will you gently whisper to Him a little prayer for me?
And when I'm alone with Jesus and all else is hid from view,
I'll gently drop into His heart a little prayer for you.
Where I Am
No breaking heart is here, no sad and chilling pain; no wasted cheeks
where the frequent tear rolls down and leaves it stain.
Dear Friends of mortal years, the trusted and the true, you are
watching still in the valley of tears, but I wait to welcome you.
I won't forget, O no! For memory's golden chain shall bind my heart
to the hearts below till we meet to touch again.
Each link is strong and bright, and love's eternal flame, flows
freely down, like a river of light, to the world from where I came.
And God Shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Revelation 21:4
You Are Not Forgotten
You are not forgotten, loved one nor will you ever be, as long as
life and memory last we will remember thee. We miss you now, our
hearts are sore. As time goes by we'll miss you more. Your loving
smile, your gentle face no one can fill your vacant place. |
